Chris Young Gets All His Famous Friends Together for His New Album

Chris Young has announced that his next album, Famous Friends, will arrive August 6th.

Chris says, “I know I’ve said it before, but I honestly can’t say it enough – I am so excited to be releasing my new album.”

The title of his 8th studio album shares the same name as his hit song with Kane Brown, and it turns out there will be more famous friends on Famous Friends. The new project will include his collaborations with Kane, Lauren Alania, and Mitchell Tenpenny – as well as tracks featuring background vocals from Sarah Buxton, Hillary Lindsey and Dan + Shay‘s Shay Mooney.

Chris says it was working with all those stars that help solidify the album’s title, “There are so many incredibly talented artists, songwriters and producers – all friends of mine – who helped make this album possible. Having friends share their talents as collaborators, songwriters, producers and more, it’s only natural to call the album Famous Friends.”

Famous Friends will include, the title track, “Raised On Country,” “Drowning,” “Town Ain’t Big Enough” and 10 additional songs…

01 – “Raised on Country”
02 – “Famous Friends” (with Kane Brown)

Chris says “I want people to fall in love with it, blow their speakers listening to it, dance to it, party along with it, cry to it, just live it – and I can’t wait to start playing this new music on the road soon”

After announcing the album, fans were giving a new song to check out – “Rescue Me.”

Chris says, “I think ‘Rescue Me’ is such a cool twist on the typical love song concept. People were already falling in love with it just based off short social teases. It’s something special.”
