Cody Johnson Recalls Playing a Great Show that Started Rough

Cody Johnson’s current single at country radio is “Human” – the title track to his double album of the same name.

When you play as many shows as Cody does – things are bound to not be perfect each and every time.

Cody recalls a performance where the power went out – but instead of ruining the evening, it turned out to be a memorable night, “We had the power go out at a show and I wound up playing for an hour…me and my guitar, my fiddler player, my guitar player…we played on a basketball PA that we powered from the bus generators with extension cords in front of 8000 people. Now, they thought it was pretty cool, and so did I.”

Cody is staying busy on the road with shows this weekend in Ohio and Illinois, and then shows all the way through to his date with Luke Combs at Mercedes Benz Stadium on the 30^th of July.
