Kenny Chesney Trying to Be in the Here And Now While Waiting for the Here And Now

Kenny Chesney Trying to Be in the Here And Now While Waiting for the Here And Now

Kenny Chesney lives for his summer tours.

He loves being out on stage and connecting with his fans…but he hasn’t been able to do that for the last two years.

Kenny talks about the lessons he learned during quarantine and his time off the road, “I used to be a very impatient person then the music business taught me patients and the coronavirus taught me that I didn’t have as much patience as I thought…because I love playing music, I’m impatient when it comes to wanting to get out there and feel that energy again. I feel lost without it so I think that I don’t know it just made me be still when it’s hard for me to be still. You know, it’s shown me that I can be still but I’m swimming up stream every day of my life trying to be still because…Willie Nelson once wrote a song and put out ‘Still Is Still Moving To Me’ and I really feel that way I feel that lyric a lot you know because that has been my life and it’s been a struggle there’s no doubt about it.”

Kenny’s time of being “still” is over as his Here And Now 2022 tour starts this weekend in Tampa!

Before he hits the stage in Raymond James Stadium Saturday night Kenny headed into the stands to remind himself of how far he has to reach to reach his fans…
