Faith Hill and Tim McGraw Get Personal About Romance, Cooking and Discipline

Tim McGraw and Faith Hill are back with the release of their new duet single, “Speak to a Girl, from their upcoming album, due out later this year.

Before the couple sets off to perform the single at the 52nd Annual Academy of Country Music awards on April 2 and kicks off their Soul2Soul tour on April 7 in New Orleans, they stopped by the Nash Country Daily studio to allow us a peek inside their 20 year marriage.

Tim and Faith sat down with Nash Country Daily to play a game of “Most Likely To,” that has them talking about cooking, vacations and the better driver in the family.

Who’s most likely to wake up first in the morning??

Tim: Faith

Faith: Me

Who is the better cook?

Faith: We both cook.

Tim: We both cook, she’s pretty good though.

Faith: He’s really good too.

Tim: It’s probably a tie, we both cook. We both have specialties. I guess my specialty is chicken and dumplings.

Faith: Spaghetti and Meatballs.

What’s your specialty Faith?

Tim: Fried Chicken. Mmmm, Cornbread and peas.

Faith: I make a lot of stuff.

Tim: She can make anything, Chicken Piccata.

Faith: I like bake too

Tim: Oh, cherry pie

Who wears the pants in the relationship?

Tim: She does.

Faith: He thinks I do.

Tim: I have a kilt.

Who’s is more of a disciplinarian with the kids?

Faith: Me

Tim: Probably Faith. Sometimes it will ebb and flow, but I think she’s probably more—I’m more easy to manipulate.

Who is more organized?

Tim: Faith

Faith: (laughs) I don’t feel that organized right now. I used to be, I don’t think so anymore.

Who is most likely to fall asleep in the middle of the movie?

Faith: We both do.

Tim: We both kind of fall asleep. If it’s a bad movie we both fall asleep.

Faith: It’s probably equal.

Tim: Cool thing now is being able to binge-watch all these series. That what’s fun.

Last thing you binge-watched?

Faith: It’s been a while because we’ve been too busy with the tour.

Tim: Billions on Showtime – you can’t binge-watch that one but…

Faith: That’s not a binge-watch

Tim: Game of Thrones. The Crown, we binge-watched The Crown a while back.

Who’s more romantic?

Faith: You probably are.

Tim: We’re both pretty romantic.

Faith: Yeah, I’m romantic but he comes up with great surprises. I think about it too much. I’m Type A, O.C.D., all that stuff.

Who’s the better driver?

Faith and Tim (simultaneously): Me

Faith: Noooo

Tim: Definitely me.

Faith: No, that’s not true – Me for sure.

Most likely to control the TV remote?

Tim: Me. But I give her opportunities, it’s not like I just hog it.

Faith: Not really.

Tim: I give it to her and she’ll say ‘No I don’t want that.’ But then she’ll say ‘I don’t want to watch that.’

Faith: I don’t want to watch – there are some things I just don’t want to watch.

Tim: Like car garage rebuilding stuff.

Faith: No, I don’t want to watch that. No offense to all the car builders, it is amazing, you do great work.

Tim: Alaskan Bush People – she likes to watch that every now and then.

Faith: Sometimes, yeah.

Who’s most likely to plan a vacation?

Tim: She would do the planning but I do surprise vacations sometimes. But she doesn’t like surprises too much.

Faith: No, I…

Tim: …because of the planning part

Faith: (Sigh)

Tim: She likes to be prepared and plan it out. She’s too organized.
