Jana Kramer Steams Up Dance Floor With Sexy Viennese Waltz on “Dancing With the Stars”

It was only the first night (Sept. 12) of Season 23 of ABC’s Dancing With the Stars, but Jana Kramer was already heating up the dance floor with a sensual Viennese waltz.

Jana, who is partnered with Gleb Savchenko, looked stunning in a long black lace gown with mile-high slits that showed off her toned legs. The couple strutted their stuff to Ariana Grande’s “Dangerous Woman” and when they were done the chemistry between the two was palpable.

jana_kramer_gleb_dwts“We’ll pause briefly for our affiliates to take cold showers,” said DWTS host Tom Bergeron, as the couple awaited their scores.

The responses from the judges were no different. “That was the raunchiest, sexiest, hottest Viennese waltz I’ve ever seen,” said judge Bruno Tonioli. “I cannot wait to see your rumba, it’s going to be explosive.”

Judge Carrie Anne Inaba could barely find the words to describe the dance. “It certainly wasn’t a traditional Viennese waltz,” she stammered. “I’m going to say maybe you guys don’t have to work on sexiness anymore because that’s definitely like—check!”

But then there was good ol’ Len Goodman, the eldest judge, who wasn’t exceptionally thrilled with the dance. “It was all too dramatic. Viennese waltz is a soft, flowing dance. You’ve got so much talent, so much potential—it was just, for me, pitched a bit funny.”

When the scores were finally announced, Gleb and Jana received a total of 27 out of 40 points—placing them in the middle of the pack—receiving a 7 from Carrie Ann, a 6 from Len, a 6 from Julianne Hough and a whopping 8 from Bruno, who seemed to enjoy the dance a little too much.

In the end Jana was just glad to get through the dance and is looking forward to moving ahead. “I think this show will help me let my guard down,” Jana said. “My personal life kind of took a hit. I have recently separated from my husband. I really think this process is going to be a huge healing experience for me.”
