Brett Eldredge Celebrates No. 1 Party for “Drunk on Your Love” With Family, Friends & Edgar [the Puppy]

With family, friends, industry execs and his puppy Edgar on hand, Brett Eldredge celebrated his fifth consecutive No. 1 single, “Drunk on Your Love,” with a party at Nashville’s BMI offices on Music Row yesterday (Aug. 9). Co-written and co-produced by Brett and Ross Copperman, “Drunk on You Love” reached the top of the Mediabase chart in March 2016. Following “Lose My Mind” and “Beat of the Music,” “Drunk on Your Love” is the third writing/producing collaboration between Brett and Ross that has reached No. 1.

“Thank you Warner Brothers for embracing these records that me and Brett have made, these crazy little pieces of music we’ve put together,” said Ross with his young daughter next to him. “And Brett, thank you for being my good friend and sticking with me all these years.”

In addition to thanking his Warner Music label, Brett made mention of his mom, dad, and brother, who were all in attendance.

“I’d like to thank my family—my mom and dad and brother are here—you guys have been here way before we’ve had any of these kinds of parties,” said Brett. “I also want to thank my band for playing these songs thousands of times. I love you guys. I love my band . . . we’re gonna go party now. Thank you to this whole town for really getting around me and my career. Ross and all of the songwriters, thank you, this is a tough job. Anybody who’s trying to do this, I feel you. I’m still chasing it down with you. And it could all stop tomorrow, but there’s always that belief right here [pointing to his heart], and you chase it. It’s what we’re doing, so cheers.”

Brett continues to play festivals and fairs throughout August, and he will release a new Christmas album this fall.
